The curriculum
Courses
Each course is self-contained. Begin anywhere — though the terminology of the hadith course is assumed by the fiqh course, and both reward being taken in order.
Quran Recitation & Readings
The practical science of reciting the Qur’an as it was received: the articulation points of the letters, the rulings of nun sakinah and tanwin, the prolongations, and an orientation to the canonical readings. Written for a student who can already decode Arabic script but has never been taken through tajwid systematically.
Hadith Terminology
Muṣṭalaḥ al-Ḥadīth — the critical vocabulary the scholars built to describe, grade and test prophetic reports. Isnād and matn, the five conditions of a ṣaḥīḥ ḥadīth, ḥasan and ḍaʿīf, tawātur against āḥād, and the hidden defects that only the specialists could see.
Fiqh & Usul al-Fiqh
How Islamic law is actually derived. The five rulings and their categories, the agreed sources — Qur’an, Sunna, ijmāʿ, qiyās — the contested ones such as istiḥsān and maṣlaḥa, the objectives of the law, and the distinct methodologies of the four Sunni schools presented side by side rather than one at a time.
